DT Hughes Group proud finalists of the Regional Business Awards 2021 for Outstanding Charity Support.

We are extremely proud to have been nominated and finalists for this special event and award. This is a credit to our employees and service partners as they have the vision and culture that our organisation looks for when on boarding.

Without the support of our teams it would not be possible to work as close to our community and give back where we can as we do. This nomination is a testament to everyone involved and each should be extremely proud of themselves, as we are of them.

We have carried out a number of charity events and activities for many years and with the COVID-19 pandemic we wanted to ensure that we continued to support charities and those in need where possible.

From working in Arrowe Park Hospital where our Director was approached by SP Energy Networks to work collaboratively and to provide a much needed garden and seating area in the grounds whilst updating the car park and surrounding areas. During the pandemic and due to the number of staff and patients needing somewhere to rest within a socially distanced environment, we were happy to mobilise many operatives/managers, plant and equipment to deliver something that has made so many people comfortable during this time.

We also have dress down Fridays, organised London Marathon and football events at Goodison Park. Along with Christmas toy deliveries to local hospitals and corporate golf and football events with our service partners and network. Supporting local charities, such as Our Little Warrior, Owen Murphy, Cash For Kids – Alder Hey Childrens Charity and NEXUS CIC.

Our commitment to employing young local unemployed people through the government kick start scheme has also been recognised as we work closely with local training and education academy Civil Engineering careers, who are Highfield accredited. CEC and the Weapons Down Gloves Up initiative support us with the local labour routes and training for them so that they are work ready to commence employment within the DT Hughes Group.

We are proud of what we do in the community and we will ensure the our corporate social values remain at the forefront of our future vision.
